Nokia introduced two new budget phones - Asha 205 and Asha 206, writes TechCrunch. In devices Finnish company sold the technology Slam, the purpose of which - to speed up the process of sharing files via Bluetooth.
Slam essence is that the wireless interface between devices installed automatically. The device from which to send files to a device connected with an active Bluetooth, which is closest to it. Thus, the user does not spend time looking at the list of devices and the choice of your specific machine.
Lack Slam - is the risk that the files to be the same user will get another. This will happen if the foreign machine at the time of the transfer will be closer than the unit, which was originally addressed to the file.
Slam will work with all mobile devices that support the specification of Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. It may be not only the device Nokia, but, for example, smartphones Android.
Phones Asha 205 and Asha 206 with the function Slam will go on sale later this year. The device will cost about 62 U.S. dollars. Each unit will be available in two versions - one with two SIM-cards. Both phones - non-touch screen with a diagonal of 2.4 inches.
The machine has a slot for memory cards microSD. Asha 205 has a QWERTY-keyboard (the phone also has a dedicated button for quick access to social networks Facebook), and Asha 206 - numeric keypad. Last unit can remain in standby mode up to 47 days.
