Sony at CES 2013 unveiled its latest smartphone Xperia Z. It has a 5-inch screen - the largest among all the phone companies.
Screen resolution is 1920 Xperia Z by 1080 pixels (Full HD). On every inch display has 443 pixels - this is one of record values for modern smartphones. The phone is quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro and two gigabytes of RAM.
Xperia Z is not afraid of dust and water: it can be kept under water jets and submerged in fresh water to a depth of one meter. Devices that are resistant to dust and water, Sony offered before - it#39;s Xperia V, Xperia go and Xperia acro S.
The new smartphone two built-in cameras - two-megapixel on the front and 13-megapixel on the back. In the burst shooting the main camera can take ten frames per second.
On Xperia Z can shoot video with high dynamic range (HDR). This feature allows you to transfer all the details of the scene, even when shooting in contrast illumination. The battery capacity is 2330 smartphone milliamp-hours. In Xperia Z has a mode Stamina, allowing to extend the autonomy of the device. When the device is in standby, Stamina blocks the intensive applications without loss of user data.
Xperia Z supports LTE network and wireless technology NFC. Through NFC data from a smartphone can be transferred to another device touch. For example, touching the TV remote unit to Sony, the user can display on the TV screen photos and videos from the phone.
Along with the Xperia Z Sony introduced the Xperia ZL device with similar characteristics. Smart phones are different dimensions: Xperia Z is thinner (7.9 vs. 9.8 millimeters), but the Xperia ZL narrower and shorter.
Both devices are running Android 4.1. Subsequently, Sony promises to upgrade to Android 4.2 - the newest to date version of the operating system.
The devices will be available in the first quarter of 2013. The price is not disclosed yet.
