NISSAN DEVELOPS NEW STEERING

Nissan is developing a new steering system

NISSAN DEVELOPS NEW STEERINGFollowing the announcement of further development of the autonomous model Nissan showed what she calls an autonomous steering system in an emergency situation at its annual briefing technology.

While the automatic braking system (which automatically activate the brakes if no action is taken by the driver) are increasingly gaining popularity, Nissan aims to be first to market with an emergency battery self-steering system.

According to Nissan, «the system is activated in situations where there are unpredictable risks, such as the sudden intrusion on the road at low speeds or when a collision at high speed is inevitable due to the delayed reaction of the driver.

The idea of the technology is to further improve the prevention of collisions, particularly in situations where braking by itself will not be enough. It works with radar and the front and rear chambers as well as five laser scanners positioned around the vehicle. All of this will not only avoid the head-on collision, but will also provide any steps to avoid any collision.
