U.S. researchers have discovered in Egypt image of the pharaoh Narmer, dating back to the late pre-dynastic period - approximately 3200-3100 years BC.
Total identified seven separate drawings depicting scenes of hunting, war, and the celebration of the festival.

The plot revolves around the very large image with a width of three meters, followed by five ships of a man holding a scepter in his hand and wearing a white crown on his head (hedzhet) - a symbol of power in Upper Egypt. Before that, a dog and a man are two servants, and it is followed by another servant with a fan. Numerous signs in particular falcon and bull horns suggest that the central character in the picture is the Pharaoh.
According to Maria Carmela Gatto, of Yale University, presumably the figure shows the pharaoh Narmer, united Upper and Lower Egypt. But, in any case, this picture is the oldest known image of the pharaoh.
