THE U.S. MILITARY IS TESTING UNMANNED HELICOPTERThe new American helicopter MQ-8C Fire Scou missing one key point - the pilot. The helicopter shown at the exhibition Sea-Air-Space Expo-2013 this week and showed advanced development in the field of electronics.



Earlier this year, the company Northrop Grumman was awarded a contract valued at $ 71 million for the purchase of six additional options helicopter MQ-8C Fire-X, which brings the total of the number of unmanned helicopters in the U.S. Air Force to 30 units.


At the moment all the helicopters are tested in real conditions. Fire Scout unmanned helicopter support, both marine and terrestrial mission. It can take off and land from ships and land, to provide air support for naval vessels. MQ-8C Fire Scou can also perform not only the landing at the airport, but on any suitable portion in the vicinity of ground troops.


The helicopter was based on the Bell 407 drone, which is often used in hospitals, movie studios and law enforcement agencies around the world.
