China is working on a telephone E-Ink

CHINA IS WORKING ON PHONE EINKImagine a smartphone that should be charged only once a week. Devices such as the Kindle, admittedly limited in what functions they can perform, but for the purposes they are great little devices. Users can read for hours without getting eye strain, and have the ability to comfortably read everything on the screen even in bright conditions.


But perhaps even their best feature is the duration of the battery, which lasts up to 10 days before you need to recharge it. Imagine if smart phones could boast the same opportunity.


Chinese manufacturer Onyx International is working on it so smartphone. The company is developing Android-powered phone, which will use the same easy-to-eye technology and a new type of battery.


E-Ink-device promises to be no less functional gadgets than smartphones, though, perhaps, will have to sacrifice some of the features that have become common in smartphones.


The company plans to release the first model in the next year, although it is not known whether it will be focused only on the Asian market, or the manufacturer has views of the broader goals.
