Evidence of the disaster on Earth found in Greenland

Findings made by an international team of geologists in Greenland, was proof of the terrible disaster that occurred on Earth about 4 billion years ago. Near the town of Maniitsoq, located on the southwest coast of the island, scientists stumbled upon a huge crater that was formed by a giant meteorite falling to Earth.

This crater has become the biggest of all 178 currently known craters from meteorites. About 4 billion years ago our planet crashed into a lump with a diameter of 30 kilometers, leaving a big failure and a huge crater. It is because of such epic proportions it was hard to find, and because of him until now nothing was known.

Over time, the movement of tectonic plates eliminate the traces of a fall. The winds and rains worked out well and now from the crater were only barely visible residues. The scientists were able to detect only the crater through a precision instrument, with which it was possible to fix the strong irregularity of the magnetic field in the area. These data are strikingly different from the figures recorded in the surrounding areas.
