Chinese anti-virus company NetQin announced that the number of malicious programs for mobile platforms in the first half of 2012 increased significantly: infection were 13 million mobile devices, which is 177% more than in the same period of 2011.
Especially sharp increase was recorded in June 2012, the: infection were 3.7 million smartphones (historical, say, a record.) In the same month, NetQin found 5582 malicious programs written specifically for Android.
Approximately 78% of malicious programs for Android is being written, much of the rest of Celite on Nokia Symbian OS. In the past year, the situation seemed diametrically opposite:
