Glass Gorilla Glass, Corning company that has applied in the creation of more than 1 billion smartphones worldwide, will be three times as resistant to scratching with the output of the third generation. This new technology will reduce the amount of visible scratches on the 40 percent. If the glass will be visible scratch, it will save up to 50% more of their strength than the previous generation.
It will be much more dramatic jump performance, compared with Gorilla Glass 2, which was only 20% stronger than its predecessor. But that does not necessarily mean a more sustainable products, as phone manufacturers can make thinner the glass, leaving the original level of strength, rather than making a thick and durable displays.
According to the Corning, extra strength Gorilla Glass 3 was the result of the introduction of technology Native Damage Resistance, which does not scratch to become visible.
It is not known exactly when the Gorilla Glass 3 will appear in future smartphones, tablets and PCs, but the previous model, which was introduced a year ago, has been introduced in new products for four to five months.
